I am obsessed with this book in a very unhealthy but absolutely fantastic way! Like, I am literally on the verge of Googling, "where do the hot secret agents hang out in nyc?" and then go to that bar every night. Ok, not really. But maybe... it's not the worst idea I've ever had.

But let's get into the story because I was beyond captivated for the entire novel.

We meet our fmc Amelia on her way to a semi-blind date with a Chad she met on the internet, whose profile picture doesn't exactly help as she seeks him out at the restaurant. She ends up sitting at the table of our mmc Caleb who is on a stakeout and has not idea what to do about this girl who won't stop talking to him as if he's her date.

One kiss and emergency exit later, Amelia is determined to reconnect with Caleb at all costs and ends up in the middle of his investigation to take down a world renowned art thief and potential murderer.

As we get to know the characters as they get to know each other, we learn the kindness Amelia possesses and the adventure she is lacking out of fear after her parent's deaths. We also discover Caleb's daddy issues that cause him to feel he's not capable of loving someone without hurting them. But the two of them continue to be thrust into each other's lives as if fate is doing everything in its power to connect them.

I swear, every other chapter I was like, "they did it... no THEY did it... no THEY DID IT!" because I honestly was kept so on my toes it was hard to pin-point exactly who the threat was. And then, PLOT TWIST! There were multiple threats for multiple reasons and I AM HERE FOR IT!

Along the way, the chemistry between our two leads had me screaming, "just kiss her again, already!" more times that I could count. While the spice level is low due to the closed door nature of the book, the tension was high as a kite floating to the moon. A slow burn at its finest that had me desperately wanting them to solve the case so they could be together.

If I go on about everything I loved about this book, this will probably turn into the longest review in history, so I will just say this (and you have to trust my opinion): I absolutley loved this book and want everyone I know and everyone they know to read it and be blown away by Fayeth's incredible character development and unexpected story.

This is the perfect pick up for anyone who loves rom coms, lives their life as if they're the main character (because you are the main character of your life!), and loves a healthy amount of comedy sprinkled into their action (or visa versa). All My Love,
