Homerun Proposal

"We’re freshmen at one of the best universities in the South. Together. We need to go out and live...be young while we still have the opportunity. You know, before real life starts.."

SOME SPOILER-FREE THOUGHTS: I picked this book up because I was in a spicy mood and the cover was super cute! Boy, did it do its job! Spice was off the charts, but also super romantic and the general plot line was cute and lighthearted. The characters were all pretty well-rounded and I look forward to reading more from this author!

"You've never been to heaven until you've heard Lane Collins praising you as a good girl, and I will take no opinions on this."

The plot of this book instantly pulled me in. Like I said, I was looking for something spicy and just reading the description of this book I knew I was in for the steam I needed.

And yes, there was LOTS and LOTS of spice! Hallie basically said, "teach me everything, Lane" and he DID! But I felt like all of the sexual moments were well connected to the underlying plot of two people who had known each other on a surface level for their entire lives getting the opportunity to see each other in a new light. Both characters at multiple points internally declared that the other was the only person who really saw them for them.

And I loved getting little side glimpses into other character dynamics knowing full well that they will be main characters in future titles. It only made me more excited for what's to come.

Overall, this was a super fun, lighthearted read that managed to include character development moments that didn't feel so heavy as to bring me down. I'm excited to read the next book in the series, Catching Feelings (you know I love me an enemies to lovers moment)!

All My Love,

Jane-Anne
