My April Bookshelf Recap

Hello Book Besties,

Another month has come and gone and I can't help but feel like the days are getting shorter and the hours are going by faster. . .just me?

April hath put a spirit of youth in everything.” - William Shakespeare

A big accomplishment that came with April is that I now have over 700 people on Instagram following along on my journey! As someone who works in social media by trade, I know follower count doesn't actually mean much (like, it wasn't only my amazing followers who blew up my first quote Reel with 300k views) but the fact that there are 700 people around the world who wanted to connect with me about our mutual love for reading just puts the warmest feeling in my heart! So thank you to all my followers for your support! It means the world!

But let's get to the real reason we've all gathered here today! The books!

A shelf featuring seven books (Fangs and Frenemies, Bridesmaid for Hire, Kilt Trip, Homerun Proposal, The Quit List, Offside, and Scones and Slayers) along with fun shelf decor like plants, candles, a tea cup, and a black cat figurine.

I read seven books in April and yes, I had to go back and delete the word "only" from the beginning of this sentence because I don't want to diminish the accomplishment by comparing it to my book count previous months (which were all higher so far this year).

A quick overview of my reviews below! Check out my full reviews HERE!

Fangs and Frenemies by Sierra Cross

⭐⭐⭐

Review Highlight: This book had me guessing what would happen next the entire time I was reading, which is one of my favorite things!

Bridesmaid for Hire by Meghan Quinn

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review Highlight: This book is one of the most authentically funny titles I've read in a long time. I was actually laughing out loud through nearly the entire thing.

Kilt Trip by Alexandra Kiley

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review Highlight: I am definitely adding Kiley to my tried and true authors list and can't wait to pick up all her future titles!

Homerun Proposal by Maren Moore

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review Highlight: I was looking for something spicy and just reading the description of this book I knew I was in for the steam I needed.

The Quit List by Katie Bailey

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review Highlight: I highly recommend this to all the book besties who daydream about finding the perfect man knowing full well that only means someone perfect for you.

Offside by Avery Keelan

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review Highlight: The layers and depth integrated into Chase and Bailey's love story kept me on my toes the entire time.

Scones and Slayers by Sierra Cross

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review Highlight: There was so much going on, but I never felt overwhelmed, only excited to continue to solve the mystery of the Vampire Hunters' sudden appearance in Blue Moon Bay.

Looking back, April was a fantastic month for books! I read so many great titles that I loved and we got so many new releases that I'm super excited to start working through. Can't wait to get started on my May tbr (which is all purple in celebration of my favorite color during my birthday month!) and looking forward to what the new month brings!

All My Love,
Jane-Anne
